About Mark
Mark Thompson
is from Perth,
Western Australia
and has had ‘rocks
in his head’ since a
very young age.
Pursuing a passion
for exploration led
to his career as a
Geologist and
Prospector finding
gold and diamonds
around the world
from Congo to Peru
(He still is. See
pictures of latest
trip
here).
In
recent years Mark
turned his attention
to the pre-historic
world and was based
in America to help
find and develop
Dinosaur resources
in remote parts of
the country.
During
2000 he was a team
member for the
world-record
dinosaur discovery
‘Leonardo the Mummy’
and has since
participated with
the study of this
natural treasure.
Mark is a
member of
the Society
of
Vertebrate
Palaeontology
and the
National
Speakers
Association
of
Australia.
He is
an Author and
Editorial
Board Member
for the

winning Encyclopaedia
of
Anthropology
and the
